Tera Allison has worked in the residential services industry for over 30 years.
Her career as a Professional Organizer
began in the fall of 1997.

Stressed and frustrated by the clutter and chaos in her own life, Tera determined to take an honest look at what disorganization was costing her and her family in terms of time, money, productivity and peace of mind.

As a single mom and small business owner, she quickly came to the realization that organization was not optional, but rather was crucial to her success in life.

Tera began conducting a comprehensive, in-depth study of organizing principles and products, spending weeks and months poring over organizing books, magazine articles, catalogs and web sites. She also systematically went through every area of her home (and her life!), simplifying and organizing each area with flair and creativity.

Although the transformation did not occur overnight, Tera achieved success because she made an ongoing commitment to getting (and staying) organized.

Ultimately, that commitment led to her current career!

How She Works:

Today, Tera (aka "The Barefoot Organizer") helps Austin and Central Texas individuals and families reduce stress by creating "order out of chaos." With a friendly, casual style -  she often kicks off her shoes and works barefoot - Tera gently guides her clients to success using an easy step-by-step approach.

Tera’s work as an organizer, her 30 years experience as a small business owner, and her background helping people in transition have allowed her to create a unique, whole-life approach to her work as an organizing consultant and lifestyle manager.

Starting with the basics, Tera helps her clients identify their own core values and discover ways to simplify, prioritize and reduce the stress in their lives. She then guides her clients as together they develop a customized organizational plan with clear, attainable goals.

Because she understands the many pressures people face in their daily lives - and the stress caused by disorganization - Tera’s approach is always gentle, supportive and non-judgmental. Her clients find her easy and fun to work with, as her friendly, easy-going manner quickly puts people at ease.

Taking her organizing skills to the next level, Tera also offers complete home and lifestyle management. Some of her duties as an Everyday Home and Lifestyle Manager™ include scheduling and meeting with contractors, paying bills, stocking supplies and over-seeing household staff -in addition to keeping all areas of the home well-organized. One of the homes that she has managed for many years has been featured in "Luxe", "Austin Monthly" and "Texas Home and Living" magazines.

Tera specializes in residential organizing and household management, and also offers real estate staging, as well as home inventory services.
